Safari Master Mac OS
Make sure your Mac can run OS X 10.6. You can't update Safari on OS X 10.5 (Leopard) or earlier, so you'll need to upgrade to at least OS X 10.6, which means your Mac must have at least one gigabyte of RAM. You can verify this requirement by clicking the Apple icon in the top-left corner of the screen, clicking About This Mac, and looking at the number next to 'Memory'. Deep WebKit integration between Mac hardware and macOS allows Safari to deliver the fastest performance and the longest battery life of any browser on the platform, while supporting modern web standards for rich experiences in the browser. WebKit in macOS Big Sur includes optimizations that enable even richer browsing experiences.
Apple appears to have pulled the latest macOS Mojave Security Update, as well as the Safari 14 download for macOS Mojave, after users ran into a slew of problems.
According to Mr. Macintosh, some of the issues that users experienced include problems with memory, slow boot and high fan speeds, system sluggishness, and stalls in Finder, among other problems. Apple pulled both updates at around 5 p.m. Eastern on Sept. 30.
Complaints about the update started to surface shortly after it was released on Sept. 24, though the Safari 14 update for Mojave was released on Sept. 16. The exact update for macOS Mojave was Security Update 2020-005, and it addressed a number of security vulnerabilities in Mail, ImageIO, and the Sandbox.
Users who are still running the updates on macOS Mojave machines should expect some type of patch or fix soon. Reports suggest that reinstalling the operating system, reverting to a prior Time Machine backup, or updating to macOS Catalina could also mitigate the issues.
No problems were reported for the Sept. 24 macOS Catalina Security Update or the Safari 14 update for that operating system.

Reinstalling Safari
If you deleted Safari and don't have a Time Machine backup or other backup, reinstall macOS to put Safari back in your Applications folder. Reinstalling macOS doesn't remove data from your computer.
Before reinstalling, you might want to use Spotlight to search for Safari on your Mac. If you find it, but it's no longer in your Dock, just drag it to the Dock to add it back.
Safari for Windows
Apple no longer offers Safari updates for Windows. Safari 5.1.7 for Windows was the last version made for Windows, and it is now outdated.
